20th Anniversary Logo: Celebrating the Milestone of College of Arts

A Unique Design by Huo Kai

Inspired by the Blooming of Flowers and the Academy's Development

The College of Arts at Northeast University is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a stunning logo designed by Huo Kai. The inspiration for this logo comes from the beautiful blooming of flowers watered by black water, symbolizing growth and development. The continuous rotation of the windmill represents the Academy's progress, while the dancing ribbon signifies a bright future. This logo is a tribute to the achievements of the College of Arts and a celebration of its founding.

What sets this logo apart is its integration of the Academy's leapfrog concept and its ability to capture the essence of various majors. It will be used during the 20th anniversary celebrations, bringing together alumni from around the world to commemorate their alma mater's birthday.

The logo is realized using advanced printing techniques such as four-color printing, bronzing, and indentation. It is widely used in printing documents and cultural creative products, spreading the festive spirit of the anniversary.

Technical specifications for the logo include a size of 800mm (H) x 800mm (W), 300dpi, and CMYK color mode. The packing data size is 420mm (H) x 300mm (W), while the notebook data size is 291mm (H) x 213mm (W).

Through its presence in print materials and souvenirs, this logo interacts closely with people, creating a festive atmosphere and fostering a sense of connection to the anniversary celebrations. It serves as a visual representation of the College of Arts' history and culture, uniting alumni and the wider society in celebration.

The design project took place from January to February 2021 in Shenyang, China. Extensive research went into creating a design that would effectively convey the significance of the 20th anniversary and evoke emotional and artistic responses from viewers.

The challenges faced during this project revolved around striking the right balance between creativity and the aesthetic beauty required for a milestone celebration. The emotional impact, appeal, and artistic communication of the logo were crucial considerations.

Huo Kai's logo design successfully captures the essence of the 20th anniversary of the College of Arts at Northeast University. It combines elements such as the number 20, windmills, flowers, and streamers to celebrate the Academy's achievements and foster a sense of pride among alumni. The simplicity and liveliness of the design make it an ideal choice for souvenirs and printed materials, carrying cultural significance and memorial value.

This exceptional logo design by Huo Kai has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category. This prestigious award honors designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving the quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
